PRIVACY / ALPHA NOTES
Your work deserves a clear boundary.
Swampcat combines public infrastructure observations with a private, signed-in investigation workspace. These are different kinds of data.
What the workspace stores.
Your account email supports sign-in. Saved investigations can contain targets, collected source observations, report coverage and assessments you choose to record. Invitation records contain recipient and delivery or acceptance metadata.
Workspace APIs restrict saved work to its owning account. Private notes and assessments are not added to the public evidence index. An evidence export excludes your assessment unless you explicitly choose to include it.
Sign-in and public collection.
The application uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in. Sign-in and invitation links are access credentials: keep them private. The studio website’s cookie statement is not a statement about this application.
Starting a discovery can send the agreed public target to the configured source services needed for that lookup. The alpha does not send your investigation to a paid AI model. Public source records may include historical names; inclusion does not establish ownership or current deployment.
Retention is still being defined.
There is no blanket automatic-deletion period for saved investigations, account records or invitation metadata. An invitation expiring does not mean its metadata is deleted. Complete retention and correction rules are still being developed before wider availability.
For this small trial, use an authorized, non-sensitive case and keep downloaded exports in your own custody. Contact us to discuss access, correction or deletion; do not send private evidence in an initial email.
Questions or a privacy concern?
Use the agreed channel with your inviter, or contact Icarus Online to establish an appropriate channel. We do not promise a response time or an automated deletion process that has not been verified.
